House Manager Position -1 Full-time position

Job Summary

This position is a management position, overseeing staff and adult men, recovering from substance abuse or incarceration, living in a residential program or transitional housing. The Manager position is responsible for direct supervision of staff, to ensure 24 hour supervision of the facility.

The person in this position must be capable of functioning independently with minimum supervision. You will help maintain and promote a safe & clean environment for the residents.

 

Essential Job Functions

• Job duties include but are not limited to:

• Maintains a home-like environment

• Maintain and record all court related records and documents, including administering random drug screening and documentation for court records.

• Troubleshoot and direct staff as needed.

• Serves as primary Manager of the home including all responsibilities appropriate to that role, including but not limited to facilitating meetings, supervision, training of staff, and disciplinary actions.

• Supervises the planning, purchasing, preparation and serving of meals and snacks- with emphasis of ensuring direct support professionals are including residents to the highest degree possible.

• Ensures adequate staff coverage through scheduling consistently and filling in when needed.

• Maintains an up to date inventory of house supplies and materials.

• Makes and enforce house cleaning, laundry and meal prep schedules by using teams of residents to complete these duties.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.-required.

Valid NC driver’s license.-required

Experience in a community residential setting.- preferred

Must be flexible with work schedule.-required

Excellent Communication Skills.

Ability to supervise residents.
